So I haven't blogged since just after Thea was born! Being a mum is a lot more hectic than I imagined haha. I just thought I would do a little update, as on the 10th August Thea was 6 months old! I cannot believe it - 6 months old..halfway towards being one! Where has the time gone? It feels like only yesterday we brought her home and I didn't know what day it was haha.
The first few months were a bit of a blur! Thea had her days and nights mixed up so she would sleep all day and we would have to wake her for feeds, and then she would be up all night..until 8am the next morning! She also had reflux which was horrible for us to see her in pain, everyone thought it was colic at first but nothing would work for her, anyway to cut a long story short she was prescribed infant gaviscon and she has been sooo much better since! I can't remember exactly when it was when the sleeping changed, I think it was around 3 months, but she sleeps all night now which is amazing. (Hope it stays that way hehe ;) )
She has always been such a happy baby, she smiles and laughs all the time, my family are always saying how does her face not ache from smiling so much! It's so lovely to see her little face light up and her eyes sparkle when she smiles.
I feel like she is really getting a personality now. She babbles away to herself, laughs at the most random things..she's obsessed with trees, clocks and a little owl teddy my nana has!
She likes music but she's obsessed with a certain two songs..'Let it go' from Frozen and 'Worth It' by 5th Harmony..I know..two completely opposite songs haha! Its hilarious, any other song she will kick her legs to on my knee as if she is dancing but as soon as we put one of those songs on she turns round to the TV, smiles, shrieks, and goes stiff and shakes with excitement! She did it to Let It Go in a restaurant the other day and all my family were hysterical!
We have recently started weaning her, she was a bit confused by it at first, did the wincing face etc, but now she loves it! Her favourite thing seems to be banana puree, she wolfs it down!
She is almost sitting up now, she sits for about 5-10 mins on her own and then falls over. She has her two bottom teeth! She said 'Dada' for the first time just over 2 weeks ago, she has started making the mmm sound but is yet to say mama!
Here are a few photos of our little princess :)
