YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation Review

When I tested this foundation out at Duty Free at the airport I though wow I have to have this! I'm usually quite fussy with foundations, I've used Estee Lauder Double Wear for 8 years now and I've tried other foundations but nothing seemed to be as good for me. Although I love it, I wanted a glowy foundation for summer. I've tried the Nars sheer glow but the coverage wasn't great for my skin, and it stuck to my dry bits! I thought I would give the YSL foundation a try and I ended up wearing it every night on holiday, I love it!

It's not as full coverage as Double Wear but it's enough coverage for me as it is build able, I just have to put a bit of concealer on if i'm having a break out. It looks so pretty on its really glowy, I wore it on holiday with the Bourjois cream blushers and I just loved having that dewy look! It comes with a pump already as well which I love. To me it looks like my skin has been airbrushed, but doesn't look like I have loads of make up on if that makes sense?

I absolutely love this foundation and I would defiantly recommend it especially if you have dry skin like me and are looking for a bit of a glow!

The shade I wear is B40

My Favourite Summer Nail Polishes

Left - Right: Barry M - Lemon, Models Own - Beach Party, Barry M Gelly - Papaya, Rimmel - Hot & Spicy & Barry M Peach Melba

Barry M - Lemon
This is a lovely yellow colour, I love it because its not too bright. Barry M nail varnishes are the best in my opinion there easy to apply, cheap, and last long!

Models Own - Beach Party
I love this colour in summer, especially with a tan! I don't really wear it in the winter though as it is really bright.

Barry M - Papaya
This is not too different from Peach Melba, just a bit darker coral and more shiny as its one of the 'Gelly' Polishes.

Rimmel - Hot & Spicy
This is the newest nail polish in my collection, I love it! I've worn it so much since ive bought it. I think its such a gorgeous colour for summer, its kind of like a coral-red-ish.

Barry M - Peach Melba
This has been one of my favourtes for a while, Its such a pretty peach colour, and it's really nice if you want to brighten up your nails but colours like Beach Party are too bright for you.

What is your favourite summer nail polish?

How I Get Beach Waves - 2 ways

Hey!

So I thought I would do a post on how I get messy, beach waves. I have my hair like this a lot and I think it looks nice especially in the summer and on holiday. My hair is normally not straight but not curly..its kind of wavy but with straight bits if that make's sense?

I Always use Tresemme Texture Style and Superdrug's own Salt Spray. They are both pretty cheap and I love them especially the Salt Spray. If i'm on holiday most of the time I just use the Salt Spray as my hair always seems to go thicker and wavier for some reason? Normally I wash my hair, towel dry it off and spray some of the Tresemme Texture Style and just sort of scrunch my hair. Most of the time I then leave it to dry or dry it off with a hairdryer (upside down for more volume!) Then when my hair is dry I do the same with the Salt Spray, spray it in and scrunch my hair. It's great because some products like this I have used have made my hair greasy or sticky but these two don't.

This is the effect the products give to my hair, as you can see its messy-wavy.

I also have another way of getting messy waves. I wash my hair and then after towel drying it a little bit I put it into two plaits while its still quite wet. I sleep in the plaits and then when I wake up and its dry I spray a bit of the Superdrug Salt Spray in and it gives it this effect...

What products do you use to get 'Beach Waves'?

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri

This is my new favourite thing! I have about a million nail polishes and love changing the colour of my nails all the time but I always hated waiting for them to dry. I'd always end up smudging them even after it seemed like I'd waited for ages for them to dry!
This stuff is amazing if you are in a rush painting your nails. It says it dries your nails in 30 seconds and it really does. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is, I thought it would still take a while to dry but it does exactly what it says on the tin. Not only does it dry your nails super fast but it makes them sooo shiny! I've never used a topcoat that makes my nails look so shiny I'm really impressed with it. I bought mine from boots for £5.99 which i think is an okay price as it's a really good product.

Have you tried Sally Hansen Insta-Dri?

I've Been Buying...

Hello!

So I have been buying again..oops! Just a few fashion & beauty bits today I thought I would show you :)

Playsuit - Topshop
I love this playsuit! I wanted one like this last year from Topshop but they sold out, I can't wait to wear it on holiday and I think its perfect for festivals with loads of jewellery.

Shoes - Topshop
I've wanted some shoes like this for a while, I think they are so cute! and they are really comfy as well and don't rub at all!

I've still not tried the Real Techniques brushes! I've been wanting to try them for ages after hearing so many good reviews so I picked up the Blush Brush and the Expert Face Brush.

The blush and the nail polish are also from Topshop and I will be doing reviews on them soon as I'm really liking them.

Have a great weekend!

I love Barry M Lychee at the moment, I think its so easy to wear and I think its a great colour to wear under glitter nail varnish.
I wanted Models Own Blizzard for ages around Christmas time but every time I went to my local boots it was sold out! I managed to pick it up a couple of weeks ago and I think it looks so nice with Lychee.

Have you tried any of these nail polishes?

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I have been wearing double wear since I was 17, and I cannot recommend it enough. Over the years I have tried other foundations but no other foundation seems to compare, for my skin anyway.
'Stay-in-place Make Up' It really is. I rarely wear a powder and this lasts on me all day. Even when I was in london and I was outside all day I didn't need to re-do my make up at all until I was going out at night, its amazing!
I know quite a few reviews have said Its too thick, but for me it's just right...a few years back I broke out in spots all over my face and I didn't even need to put on a concealer as the foundation covered all of them. Even now I only have the odd spot and blemishes and it's still the perfect coverage for me, it seems to make your skin look perfect even if it isn't!
The only one thing that annoys me about this foundation is when I have my picture taken with the flash on. If I don't put much bronzer over the top I look like a ghost beacuse of the SPF in the foundation. It does bug me but If I'm going on a night out and I know theres going to be pictures taken I just put extra bronzer on (obviously not too much, don't want to look like an oompa lumpa!) and that usually helps.

I wear the colour 'Fresco' you can buy it here

Recent Beauty Buys

Barry M Gelly Nail Paints
I've tried a couple of the gelly nail paints before and I really liked them, so I went to buy 'Lychee' and I saw 'Papaya' while I was there and I thought It was a gorgeoes colour for summer so I had to buy that one too.

Essie 'Figi"
This is my first ever Essie nail polish! I've seen loads of pictures on Instagram of people wearing this and I've wanted It for a while, It looks gorgeous.

Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner
I picked up a new eyeliner as I ran out of this one, this is one of my favourites it's so pigmented!

Rimmel Apocalips
I've wanted to try these for ages after seeing loads of reviews on them. I bought 'Big Bang' which will have to be worn on my next night out!

Max Factor Clump Defy by Falsh Lash Effect Mascara
I'd ran out of my normal False Lash Effect mascara, so I thought I would give the 'Clump Defy' one a try, Ive tried it a couple of times and I really like it, but I haven't really noticed a difference between this one and the original False Lash Effects to be honest, none of them make my eyelashes clump though!

Have you bought any of these recently? What did you think of them?

Babyliss Heated Rollers

These are my new fave thing!! I was always borrowing my mums heated rollers so my sister bought me these for my birthday and they are sooo good! I have kind of wavy hair but even though its quite thick its really flat if that makes sense? I back comb it but because its so soft it drops after like 10 minutes! So most of the time i've been using these! There really easy to put in and they heat up really quick. I usually leave them for about 20 minuites though so there quite hot and so the curl will last longer.

They come with black grips and these metal clips but i prefer the black grips as they keep better hold of the roller in my hair.

Sometimes I do all my hair but at the minute Ive been leaving a section round the bottom and then curling the bottom section with straighteners just so theres a bit of a variety of curls.

When I have applied them I spray a bit of hairspray on them and then leave them for about half an hour - 45 minutes, but it depends on how curly you want them really.

When I take them out im left with a really bouncy curl! and my hair looks really thick and voluminous! I always put a lot of hairspray on though afterwards so the curls stay in all night

I love how If im going out I don't really feel like its an effort to do my hair as i just put these in and do my make up while there in and then take them out and I'm ready to go!

January Favourites

Eyeliner & Lipstick swatches

St Moriz Spray
So I have been using the St Moriz mousse for a long time, and, its okay, i guess it does the job and its cheap but i have always preferred my St Tropez as it fades better and looks more natural and is easier to apply...I bought this spray just before christmas as I didn't want to buy a new bottle of St Tropez because I knew i was getting one for Christmas but i wanted to be tanned before Christmas! I LOVE it!! its soooo easy to apply and you don't get any streaks at all (I always apply with a mitt) Its so much easier and quicker than the mousse and it fades a lot better, I find the mousse goes a bit patchy after a few days. I will defiantly be repurchasing this!

Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl Eyeliner
This was another thing I kinda bought by accident, I always love trying new eyeliners as I love them to be really dark but a lot of them make my eyes water bad as I've had problems with my eyes the last few years. I have been using Mac - Feline but I wanted a cheaper option so I tried this and its great! Its really really dark and it doesn't budge! To be honest I can't really notice a difference between this and the mac one!

La Femme Glitter Nail Varnish
I loveee this nail varnish its so cute! I love glitter nail varnish anyway but stars!! It's gorgous to put over any colour, I wore it over red at christmas

I got this from Ebay, Im not too sure where else you can purchase it.

Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie
I wanted a lipstick this colour for a while and I saw Tanya Burr wearing it in one of her videos, I was like, I need that lipstick! The colour is gorgeous and I'm definatly going to be buying some more of these Lip butters in different colours there so soft and really pigmented.

Left to right...Barry M Red Black & Barry M Yellow Topaz, Barry M Silvery Lilac & Topshop Razzmatazz, O.N.E (I got this one in Cyprus, I'm not too sure if they sell it in other countries but I've never seen it in england! :( ) Angelica from Primark Fallen Angel, Elf Red Velvet, Topshop Eclipse & Collection Glittersweet, A plain silver from a nail art set & 17 Glitter Top Coat, Barry M Raspberry & Beauty UK Dorothy, Barry M Silver Glitter, Barry M Bright Red & Beauty UK Dorothy, Barry M Foil & Barry M Yellow Topaz & The last two are Collection Glittersweet and Beauty UK Dorothy on their own.

Its really hard to pick which one for christmas day! But I'm leaning towards the Barry M Red Black & Barry M Yellow Topaz, I think they look so nice together.

Which nail varnish will you be wearing on christmas day?
